This year we have been changing the way we work in the classroom. We have moved from 'task boards' where there are set tasks that students move through at a set pace to a 'must do/can do' style. This means the students have all the same tasks they had before (and a few extras) that they can work on at their own pace and in their own order.As a teacher I can see some of the ways this has been a great improvement for my students but...
I want to know, how good is this idea really?
I have 3 things I would like you to comment on....
- What is working well for you in this system?
- What makes learning hard for you in this system?
- What ideas do you have that could make learning in the Hoiho Class even better?
1. I love this way. I can do my math in the morning and reading after morning tea.

I think that the system is working well because you can do what you need to do and not have to go to the teacher for it when you have to do it.
ReplyDeleteThe system makes it hard because you have to do them before break and you have to go to the teacher unexpectedly.
To make it better we could do them in a specific order or even have to do the 'Can do' or the 'Must do' first.

1. I think that idea will work well because if you want to do math in the morning you can and you have more time to do it!

Change the creation station when every one has finished the activity.
